I developed a cohesive brand identity for the play Alebrijes. I was the creative hub of the production being responsible for shaping how the show looks, feels, and is experienced both onstage and in the public eye. Conceptualized costume themes and palettes. Also, worked with designers, seamstresses, and performers to design a 90 minute comedic message, which includes traditional music. We experienced art transcending mortality in this show. Our main character’s journey takes him back to his Mexico City home in 1936 where he discovers the special relationships he had with his animals. Writer Georgina Escobar created the story in collaboration with Milagro, a Portland, Oregon, theater group.
