A heightened, presentational, theatrical retelling of a historical moment in 1940s America. With its central theme of identity, the piece depicts Latinx marginalization and cultural tensions, as well as abuses of law enforcement, among other sensitive content.
An extravaganza like no other telling a story of four cultures, traditions, and historical events that formed the captivating
beginnings of the city El Paso, Texas.
Organized by the UTEP Dance Department faculty, Motion Bound allowed the opportunity for five creative minds from different places across the world to build and mobilize through movement. This was the first live event hosted in the Wise Theatre after the enforced regulations caused by the pandemic.
